Peer review
The review process
Once the centralization stage of articles submitted for publication is completed, they will be sent for review to personalities in the scientific field, both from the country and abroad.
The review process takes into account the scientific quality of the articles, the veracity and sustainability of the information and statements made by the authors, the relevance of the research presented to the geographical area of scientific interest – Dobrogea –, compliance with the publication rules imposed by the Pontica journal, the quality of the foreign language in which the article or its summary was written, etc.
The next stage consists of presenting the reviews in a meeting of the editorial board, as well as the proposals for acceptance or rejection of scientific contributions for the respective issue. After establishing the summary of the volume, the stage of collation and technical editing begins.
