Situl arheologic Belogradeţ este situat în nord‑estul Bulgariei, în partea de sud a platoului Stana, lângă satul Belogradeţ, regiunea Varna. Acesta a fost cercetat prin săpături arheologice de salvare în cursul anului 2020. Pe o suprafaţă de 3.700 m2 au fost înregistrate 15 complexe arheologice, în principal gropi săpate în nivelul antic şi în steril.

This paper presents an analysis of the use of the word ἠϊών in Greek literature from Homer to Byzantine time. The author reviews the many meanings of the word in various contexts and sets out the most important meaning of this in relation to low-lying seacoasts, sandbanks and peninsulas of the northern Black Sea.
